WHAT ARE THE PRACTICES DONE IN KUNDALINI CLASS?
The main constituent of a Kundalini Yoga class is a Kriya. A Kriya is a set of exercises put together in a specific way to obtain a specific result. For example, there are Kriyas for flexibility of the spine, opening the heart-center, transforming anger, working circulation & the lungs, & for cleansing the Aura & reducing Ego. There are thousands more. Typically in any Kriya, asana (posture) pranayama (breath), mantra (sound) & mudra (hand seal) are utilized. These are powerful techniques that support the practitioner in striving toward the fulfillment of what the specific Kriya was intended to affect, create, or transform.
Curious practitioners should know that Kundalini classes welcome beginners. So, there is no reason not to give it a try!
